At Wednesday’s meeting, representatives from
Knoxville's Community Development Corporation (KCDC) will discuss the process,
including proposed meeting dates, of creating a Redevelopment Plan authorizing
tax increment financing for the Cumberland Avenue area. City Council authorized
KCDC to study Cumberland for a redevelopment area in 2013. The intent of this
redevelopment area would be to support future public parking and public
infrastructure in the district. More information will be forthcoming about
public meetings.
